Transition Technologies MS has signed a contract with one of the largest arms companies in Poland. The contract concerns the creation of software compliant with the communication standard developed by NATO. The order will be an important element of key systems for Poland’s defence.
As part of the project, we will be responsible for creating software modules compliant with the NFFI (NATO Friendly Force Information) standard. The NFFI protocol is a communication standard developed by NATO, enabling the exchange of information on the position and status of own forces (“blue force tracking”) in near real time. Its main task is to ensure the interoperability of command and tracking systems of the forces of various NATO member states and coalition partners – says Marcin Kubec, TTMS COO.
The project will last about a year and a half. This is the twelfth contract in the defence sector acquired by TTMS since the beginning of the company’s operations. At the end of 2024, the company announced a contract for the NATO Standardization Office, won in a consortium with its sister company Transition Technologies Software and BREVCO Services, to implement an IT solution that will be used to manage the NATO terminology database.

TTMS has many years of experience in implementing solutions for the defence sector and cooperation on NATO projects, and is distinguished by its knowledge of the specifics of the functioning of the armed forces. The company has been operating in the defence sector since 2016 and is one of the few Polish IT companies that have the appropriate security certificates and concessions allowing them to participate in arms tenders. In 2024, TTMS doubled the value of its order portfolio in the defence segment.
TTMS is a member of the NATO Innovation Hub – an innovation center associating companies specializing in military projects and cooperating on research and development initiatives.
