How to focus on business development while following digital transformation?
Sebastian Sokołowski, TTMS CEO: Business growth means an increase in production, employment and process complexity. It is also the need to implement IT systems that will improve the functioning of the company. We are talking here about both the design and creation of dedicated solutions, as well as the need for support in the field of quality control of existing processes or building specialized project teams to service and develop existing products.
To meet these challenges in 2023, there are three options. The first is to launch an advanced IT department – expensive to maintain, both in terms of human resources and programming infrastructure. The second is the classic outsourcing model, i.e. supplementing the team with individual external consultants. However, not every company wants and is able to focus on running IT projects, which not only goes beyond the “core business”, but also involves the need to provide appropriate specialists. The third option is to entrust all activities to an external supplier, while maintaining complete control over business assumptions. This solution seems to be optimal for most Polish medium and large companies.
But how to do it right?
